N - Home Court Advantage

Joel is gaining confidence every day in walking.  I estimate that he walks at least 50% of the time he wants to get somewhere while at home.  However, I've noticed that other places (church, friend's house, etc.) he rarely walks.  He usually drops straight to the familiar crawling position.  I wonder if others have noticed this in their kids.  At any rate, I'm proud of the boy.  He's growing up fast.

Very normal behavior. He is still more comfortable being closer to the ground in larger settings. Less risk of getting knocked over. Stepped on maybe, but not knocked over.

You will always think your kid is better at everything that any other kid his age. Why? Because they only do their "tricks" at home until they are ready to "perform" in public. This is why I know my babies could talk at 4 months, but no one believes me!
